About Us
Growing up here locally, we always had big cook outs. My Dad is a master on the grill so I definatley learned a lot from him. My mom makes some great baked beans and potato salad so of course I had to "borrow" those recipes! I graduated high school in June of 1999 and off to college I went. While in college the only employment I could find was working in a restaurant and that is how it all began. I started to fall in love with food and of course the people! Through my years in food service I learned a lot about how to work in customer service along with how to run a business. I graduated from Kent State University in December of 2005 with a degree in business management. In January of 2009 I got an opportunity to open up my own restaurant, and with the help of family and friends, here we are! Here at the Berlin Hickory Smokehouse I consider any customer that comes in our doors a guest, we want you to feel at home. We pride ourselves in excellent food and extraordinary service so come check us out and let me know what you think.
